Chelsea Holmes is a soprano currently based in the New York City area. A versatile performer, she has appeared on the stages of concert halls, opera houses, jazz clubs, theatres, outdoor parks, boathouses, and rock quarries. Ms. Holmes earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Northwestern University's Bienen School of Music in Voice and Opera with an additional certificate in Musical Theatre from the University's Communication School and a Master of Music Degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music
Her previous opera roles include Zerlina in Don Giovanni, The First Lady in The Magic Flute, Nella Donati in Gianni Schicchi , Peep Bo in The Mikado and Mrs. Jenks in Tenderland. Musical theatre credits include the Witch in into the Woods, Stephen Sondheim's Company, and Kurt Weil's Three Penny Opera. She also performed in concert with Broadway star, Patti Lupone. Additionally, Chelsea performs many concert works including Messiaen's Chants de Terre et de Ciel, Brahm's requiem soprano solo, and often collaborates with composers on new works.
